Before I started offering these treatments at Peace & Daisies, I was on my own little journey with the lymphatic system. Like many people, I had no idea just how much our lymph plays a role in our overall health, digestion, mental clarity, immune function, and even body shape...until I started digging in!
I’ve trained with two amazing lymphatic drainage therapists in London, and spent way too many hours watching videos, reading, and just soaking up as much as I could online learning not just the techniques, but the deeper function and vital role of the lymphatic system.
Along the way, as I started learning more about the lymphatic system, I naturally became more in tune with my own body. What was working for me, and what wasn’t. That awareness led me to make small but meaningful changes to my lifestyle. Over time, those changes added up: I lost over 15kg in the past year, felt less bloated, more balanced, and just... more like myself. This journey has shifted so much for me, not just physically, but mentally too. I noticed improvements in my hormones, digestion, immune health, and overall mood.
That’s why I care so much about the treatments I offer now, because they can be a powerful part of a bigger picture. When used consistently and alongside a supportive lifestyle, they can really help you feel more connected to your body and its natural rhythms.
This is not a "one size fits all" approach. Each body is unique, and each person needs something a little different, which is why I offer both Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) and the Sculpt & Detox treatment, so you can choose (or combine) what your body is calling for.
So, What’s the Difference Between MLD and Brazilian Sculpting Massage?
Let’s clear this up, there’s no such thing as “Brazilian lymphatic drainage”. What people are usually referring to is Brazilian body sculpting massage, a technique that’s amazing in its own right, but not the same as MLD. Here’s how they differ:
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
MLD is a gentle, structured massage technique developed in the 1930s by Dr. Emil Vodder. Though initially introduced in holistic circles, it is now medically recognised and commonly used to support lymphatic health, especially in cases of lymphedema and post-surgical recovery.
It uses very light, rhythmic movements (nothing vigorous or deep) to encourage lymphatic movement without stressing the vessels. This is particularly beneficial for:
Water retention & bloating
Post-surgery recovery
Hormonal imbalances
Supporting overall immune and nervous system health
At Peace & Daisies, my Classic MLD treatment is for those who want to feel lighter, de-puffed, less inflamed, and deeply restored.

Brazilian Sculpting Massage (aka My Sculpt & Detox Treatment)
Now this is the one that people often mistakenly call “Brazilian lymphatic drainage.” Brazilian body sculpting is a manual massage technique using firm, fast, and intentional movements. It’s designed to:
Break down compact fat pockets
Encourage lymph movement
Improve circulation and skin tone
Sculpt and define your silhouette
Support fascia health and collagen production
Think of it as a workout for your tissues, it’s not just relaxing, it’s reshaping. When done well, it can offer noticeable contouring and tone, even after just one session (though instant results vary from person to person).
My Sculpt & Detox treatment is rooted in the Body by Soph method, combining Brazilian sculpting techniques with mindful attention to the lymphatic system. I always begin by gently opening up your lymphatic flow before diving into the sculpting work, because this makes the massage far more effective, and your body gets more from it.

Why I Combine These Techniques...
In my opinion, lymphatic activation and body sculpting are a perfect duo. Your lymphatic system needs to be primed and open to get the most benefit from any sculpting work, otherwise you're just moving fluid around without giving it somewhere to go. That's why every Sculpt & Detox session starts with a lymphatic-focused opening sequence before we begin the contouring techniques. It’s a more holistic, functional approach that honours your body’s natural systems and rhythm.
Which One Is Right For You?
It all depends on what your body is asking for:
Want to deeply support your immune system, reduce bloating, or aid recovery? → Go for the Classic MLD.
Looking to enhance your curves, detox, and feel sculpted and confident? → The Sculpt & Detox is your go-to.
Not sure, or want both? I’ll guide you through the best path for your body. Something I’ve learned is that the lymphatic system is still kind of a mystery, even to scientists. There’s still so much to uncover and I’m so excited to keep learning, exploring, and evolving in this space.
Thank you for being on this journey with me. Whether you’re just starting to learn about your body’s inner systems or already in tune with your wellness needs, I’m here to help you understand what’s best for your body. When we know what our bodies need, it just gets a whole lot easier to feel good in ourselves.
